The father of the bride provided the favors -- his homemade caramels, usually a special holiday treat. Shelly and Todd packaged them in small cardboard boxes tied with ribbon and jute.

Bobble vases with dahlias added a romantic touch to the arrangements of moss and river rocks at Shelly and Todd's wedding. "I wanted to use the river rock because we really wanted to have a natural feel in this very urban setting," the bride explains.

On other tables at Shelly and Todd's reception, curly willow and green cymbidium orchids were arranged in centerpieces of varying heights. The organic look of the centerpieces was a dramatic counterpoint to the urban, loft-like reception space.

Shelly and Todd's centerpieces and tables played up their chocolate and moss palette. Long, low arrangements of moss and river rocks in glass vases and glowing votives sat atop some of the tables, which were adorned with chocolate-colored linens and moss green napkins. Each of Shelly and Todd's guests found a menu for the evening's feast tucked in a moss-green napkin.

Shelly used her graphic design knowledge to create the couple's invitations and paper components for the wedding. Though keeping her ideas within the wedding budget was trying at times, "it also allowed me to expand on my creativity," Shelly says. She and Todd opted for moss green as the main hue to use in all of their paper goods.
